Sunshine Cleaning

If you're looking for a reincarnation of Little Miss Sunshine, try again. Instead, this is her shy and boring kid sister. Willing to sit through most any kind of movie, I didn't regret seeing this. In fact, the scene depicted on the poster makes the entire movie worthwhile. Early in the film there's a feeling of emotional kinship when Amy Adams' character runs into a former classmate while cleaning her house. The awkward insecurity of highschool was palpable.

I could watch Alan Arkin in anything, so I only wish he were on the screen more. As usual, Amy Adams is blubbering and crying through half of the movie, but Emily Blunt set her straight most of the time and made it a bit more bearable.
